German clubs Werder Bremen, Hamburger SV, and Augsburg are also tracking the former Scotland Under-21 international following his impressive displays in the Primeira Liga.
Holsgrove has built his professional career abroad after leaving Reading's academy, featuring for Celta Vigo, Pacos de Ferreira, and making 83 appearances for Estoril Praia.
During his time in Portugal, the midfielder has contributed four goals and 16 assists for Estoril, bringing his total Primeira Liga record to six goals and 19 assists across 100 matches.
While Wolverhampton Wanderers already possess deep-lying midfielders like Andre and Tommy Doyle, Peixoto clearly sees specific qualities in Holsgrove that could prove valuable during a gruelling 46-game season.
