According to journalist Santi Aouna, Brentford have reached an agreement in principle with Lens to secure the services of midfielder Mamadou Sangare in a deal worth €48m plus add-ons.

The proposed agreement will also see Lens retain a sell-on clause, with Brentford still needing to finalize final details before officially announcing the marquee signing.
Based on recent developments, Sangare is viewed as the ideal replacement for veteran midfielder Jordan Henderson, who looks poised to leave the Gtech Community Stadium after just one season following interest from Chelsea.
Although Sangare lacks the extensive Premier League experience of the 36-year-old Englishman, he will arrive in West London aiming to secure a regular starting spot amidst intense competition in the middle of the park.
