Argentine President Javier Milei speaking during a public appearance

Following Argentina's defeat against Spain in the World Cup final, President Javier Milei has raised eyebrows by claiming his nation is targeted by a deliberate anti-Argentine campaign.

Speaking on Radio Mitre on Sunday during an agricultural fair, the Argentine president alleged that progressive masterminds are attempting to sabotage his libertarian agenda.

According to Milei, a quarter of the resources funding this alleged conspiracy originate directly from the Brazilian government, pointing to ongoing regional political tensions.

The diplomatic rift deepened after Brazilian authorities reportedly blocked Milei from visiting his jailed ally, former president Jair Bolsonaro, prompting Milei to launch a scathing verbal attack on Brazilian Supreme Court judge Alexandre de Moraes.

Based on reports from AFP, Brasilia immediately recalled its ambassador to Argentina, stating that Javier Milei severely offended both the Brazilian people and their democracy.
