"Quite a short negotiation, actually, because from the very first moment I wanted to come here," Castro stated, noting how quickly he committed to the project.
Based on his assessment of the technical staff, Castro expressed strong admiration for Gian Piero Gasperini, who successfully steered Roma back into the Champions League during his debut campaign.
"Gasperini is a coach who has proven his worth in Italy for many years," Castro said, adding that he is ready to adapt to wherever the manager needs him on the pitch.
Despite netting 22 goals across 105 appearances for Bologna, the young striker emphasized a collective team-first mindset over individual personal statistics.
Looking ahead to local rivalries, Castro is already relishing future fixtures at the Stadio Olimpico after previous successes against both capital clubs.
"Now we want to carry on like that, maybe two goals in the derby," the forward concluded, setting high expectations for his inaugural season in Rome.
